Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how FootClue ("we", "us", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the FootClue mobile application. By using FootClue, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect only what is needed to run the app and your account:

We use your information to operate and improve FootClue — for example, to authenticate you, run the game, maintain the leaderboard, analyze aggregate gameplay to improve question quality, and respond to support requests.
We do not currently use your personal data for third-party advertising, and we do not currently track you across other apps or websites. If we introduce such processing in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by applicable law, obtain your consent before that processing begins.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data directly within the app, from Profile → Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. You can exercise deletion at any time via the in-app Delete Account function. For other requests, contact us using the details below.
FootClue is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with our processors using industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
